Kelly Bianchi inadvertently discovered entrepreneurship at the age of 25 when her freelance writing turned into an alternative line of greeting cards that captured local media attention, and the interest of several investors. After raising over $100,000.00 to finance her venture, Kelly discontinued her pursuit of joining the Police Academy, and introduced the world to interpersonal communication through the simplicity of her unique verses. She went on to distribute her cards throughout the U.S. and Brazil. Meanwhile her alternative approach to modern day communication earned her guest spots on radio stations across the U.S., South Africa, and New Zealand. In 2010, she segued into the auto remarketing industry, contracting with Upstate Auto Auction to provide concession and catering services. She soon became intrigued with the auction business, and eventually took a part-time role as the auction’s Marketing Consultant. After 5 years as the owner/operator of J&K Café, Kelly decided to close the doors of her business, and took on a full time position as the Marketing Director for Upstate Auto Auction.
It wasn’t long before her entrepreneurial instincts kicked in. Immersing herself in the auction’s technology, she focused on maximizing the use of the management system to create more efficiency within the operation, and worked to expand the auction’s capacity for digital growth. Turning her focus to the online segment, she became enamored with the idea of developing a self-supporting online infrastructure that could potentially generate revenue 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. She dubbed this division ‘UAA247’. To become a true leader in online operations, Kelly knew she needed to develop protocols, and create more stability in the online bidding environment. She also needed to win the support of the auctioneers, as well as the online customers. Her efforts proved to increase online activity, as well as attendance. Her training program was recognized by the auction’s simulcast vendor, who purchased the material to be distributed to other simulcast clients. Ultimately, Kelly took a position with this vendor, and became the Director of Product Marketing & Training for AWG Simulcast. In 2015, Kelly began to feel that the company’s goals were not aligned with her own objectives, which were geared towards providing auctions with more infrastructure support that she felt would be necessary to help the industry improve online sustainability. Partnered with Robert Hollenshead, Kelly co-founded AuctionVcommerce – a company dedicated to providing auto auctions with a shared service center focusing on dealer support, online marketing, and advocacy for Auction Members within the online-technology circle. In addition, Kelly developed the first-ever Online Clerk Simulation Certification program to reduce the negative impact of untrained clerks on live dealers during simulcast events. Nearly a year later, AuctionVcommerce has 18 members, and is working with several auctions to certify online clerks. Kelly continues to serve as President, and has reunited with AWG through a strategic partnership with Integrated Auction Solutions. Today, Kelly is recognized for her contributions to the auto auction community, and is highly regarded as a leader in Online Remarketing.
